Alexander Bohr is a writer, director and producer. He studied communication science, art history, philosophy and American studies at the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. In 1984 he became a member of the ZDF Redaktion Spielfilm. He is writer and director of numerous documentaries, mainly on film topics. Starting in 1996, he was co-producer for various international award-winning feature films. Until his retirement from the ZDF in 2021, he was head of the ARTE Filmredaktion.
