The Epik Filmproduktion GmbH was founded on an unusually warm day in December 2018 by Hüseyin Tabak and Mehmet Aktaş in North Rhine-Westphalia.
The executive producer Hüseyin Tabak won international prizes with his films as an author and director. His partner, the author and producer Mehmet Aktaş, is CEO of the production company mîtosfilm, which specializes in international co-productions.
Epikfilm focuses on making socially relevant films for a wide audience. The stories are about people from different generations, countries and backgrounds. The filmmakers´ distinctive voices are especially important to us, as we intend to make artistically ambitious films that touch the audience.
