She is determined to stay in Germany and get her family to join her. Karagül´s friendship with the foreman Simon, a Jew who survived the concentration camp, makes everything seem possible.

But as her past catches up with her, Karagül´s dream of a new, independent life in Germany is threatened. Still, she takes matters into her own hands. With the help of her allies, she fights for her and her daughter´s new life.
